Banks
Bank statement conversion for US banks
Most US banks let you download recent transactions as CSV for a few months — after that, the PDF statement is the only record, and banks keep those for years. StatementConverter reads the PDF statement's transaction table directly, so the bank matters less than the layout; still, each bank prints its statements a little differently, and the notes below flag what to check for the biggest ones.
Why a PDF at all?
- Older months and closed accounts are usually PDF-only.
- Clients send bookkeepers PDFs, not logins — and you should never ask for a client's bank login.
- The PDF is the document of record: its printed balances are what our conversion is checked against.
Major US banks
Chase statement converter
Business statements group transactions by type and print running totals per section rather than a per-row balance.
Bank of America statement converter
Deposits and withdrawals are printed in separate sections with section totals that feed the summary page.
Wells Fargo statement converter
Combined statements list each account separately; convert one account's pages at a time for a clean check.
Capital One statement converter
Checking statements print a single Amount column with a running balance on every row.
Citi statement converter
Citibank statements separate debits and credits into two columns and summarise checks by number.
U.S. Bank statement converter
Statements include an account summary with beginning and ending balances on the first page.
PNC statement converter
Virtual Wallet statements combine spending and reserve accounts; check which account a page belongs to.
Truist statement converter
Truist prints deposits, checks and electronic debits in separate sections with per-section totals.
American Express statement converter
Card statements are organised around payments and new charges; the check runs against the account balance summary.
USAA statement converter
USAA checking statements print a daily balance table in addition to the transaction list.
Not on the list? Upload the statement anyway — the reader works from the printed table, not a fixed list of layouts, and every conversion is verified against the statement's own balances.
