Convert Fifth Third Bank bank statements to Excel or CSV
Fifth Third business checking statements open with an account summary — including counts of checks and deposits — then list checks and deposits in their own sections. Download the PDF statement, upload it here, and get every transaction as a spreadsheet that is checked against the statement's own opening and closing balances before you download it.

The Fifth Third Bank statement layout
These notes come from real Fifth Third Bank statements our reader has been tested against, not from a template guess:
- The Account Summary prints the beginning balance, the number of checks, the number of deposits, and the ending balance.
- Checks appear in their own list and deposits in their own detail section, followed by a daily balance table.
- The tested BUS BASICS CHECKING statement carries the whole month on one dense summary page — short file, complete detail.
How to download a PDF statement from Fifth Third Bank
- Log in to Online Banking at 53.com or in the Fifth Third mobile app.
- Select the account, then open Documents (labelled Statements in some views).
- Under tax and account statements, filter by account and date range, open the statement, and use the download icon to save the PDF.
Once you have the PDF, drop it into the converter — you can check the result before you pay for anything, and the first 10 pages each month are free.
What to check after converting
- The result is marked Reconciled — the rows reproduce the closing balance exactly. If a difference is shown instead, our guide to why a statement does not balance walks through the usual causes.
- Use the counts: the number of checks and deposits in your export should match the counts printed in the Account Summary.
- Checks and deposits live in separate lists — confirm both lists made it into your file, not just the first one.
- Spot-check two or three rows against the PDF, especially around page breaks. Our guide on how to check a conversion shows a two-minute routine.
